After months of being out of action the Parish Council speed awareness sign opposite the Carpenters Arms is now working again and re-calibrated to trigger at 20 mph. It involved months of blood sweat and tears on the part of Cllr Chris Rowntree – a return to manufacturer for the unit – and several Sunday mornings precariously perched up a ladder assisted by our other two councillors Richard Marsh and Malcolm Allsop. Today – success! Lets hope it has an effect on slowing the traffic down.
