5 Reports from County and District Councillors
Hugo Ashton:
Burford Bridge – Plans have been made for posts to be set up along the footpath going on the
bridge in order to protect pedestrians by not only being able to feel safer walking over the bridge
but to also help prevent vehicles cut into the footpath while going over from Fulbrook to Burford –
some fundraising for this may be needed.
Motorbike Noise Pollution – A parishioner contacted to Hugo to discuss the noise coming from
Motorbikes going toward Stow. Hugo raised he possibility of putting up acoustic cameras and
asked the councillors if this was something they would like to pursue. All councillors agreed to
not pursue it at this time.
WODC Bin Charge – Hugo also brought up the fact that WODC were starting to charge to empty
bins that are off the highway, as of yet Fulbrook Parish Council have not been made aware that the
emptying of any of the village bins will result in being charged.
Colesfield – The appeal has currently been dismissed. There is a year until the local village plan is
updated making Burford vulnerable to future developers putting down plans for developing.
Comments for any future planning can be passed to Hugo who will be able to take these comments
further.
